A retreat sells a feeling before it sells a room. Guests want to see where they'll practise, what they'll eat, where they'll sleep and how it will feel to arrive, and they need to trust it before they book flights to get there.
We shoot retreats as a journey through a stay, from arrival to the last swim. For Mana Eco Retreat in Lombok, one of the most established eco and yoga retreats on the island, we refreshed the imagery used across the website, booking platforms and social media over two days.
What we shoot
- Arrival and setting: the approach, the landscape and the first impression.
- Rooms and villas: where guests sleep, shown honestly and beautifully.
- Practice spaces: shalas, studios and treatment rooms, empty and in use.
- Food: the kitchen, the dishes and the shared table.

Questions
Do you travel to retreats overseas?
Yes. We're based in Byron Bay and shoot across Australia, Asia and Europe. Mana Eco Retreat in Lombok, Indonesia is one of our projects.
Can you shoot during a live retreat?
Yes, with your guests' permission. We plan around your timetable so sessions run as normal, and we can also set up moments with your team.
How long does a retreat shoot take?
It depends on the size of the retreat and the programme. Mana Eco Retreat was shot over two days.
Do you shoot video as well as photos?
Yes. Photography and video can be shot on the same days, so you get stills, short clips for social and an edited film.
